Improving Outcomes: LE Interactions w/ Mentally Ill and Developmentally Disabled Persons December 11th & 12th 8:30am-5:00pm each day U of A – Monticello 517 University Dr. Monticello, AR 71656 (Gibson University Center – Capitol Room) The Arkansas Association of Chiefs of Police (AACP) is bringing valuable training to south Arkansas! Improving Outcomes has been held in several locations throughout the state and the reviews just keep getting better. According to Sgt. Joe Bennett of the Texarkana Police Department, “If this training ever comes our way again, we need to send every supervisor.” This training is free to all Arkansas law enforcement and offers 13 hours of CLEST credit. The target audience is small and medium market law enforcement professionals in Arkansas who have not been trained in CIT, or equivalent, and would like to enhance their skills in handling individuals exhibiting atypical behaviors.
